This wedding was truly one to remember and we are so thankful to our lovely Bride and Groom Angelique and Dan, for choosing us to capture their stunning wedding celebrations.
Buzz and Aubane married at St. Mary’s Church in Harvington, a quaint little church in a scenic location. Aubane got ready at Brockencote Hall, which was also the couple’s wedding reception venue along with her bridesmaids and close family. The moment we saw the bridesmaids unique, vibrant dress colour we knew this couple had stamped their personalities all over their wedding day. We had two of our team members at the church to greet Buzz and capture his arrival. Buzz’s groomsmen wore grey suits with lime green accents. Buzz’s brother gave us the heads up that our lovely groom would be arriving in his car, which was his prize possession, a sporty Nissan GT-R. Buzz wore a vibrant lime green suit jacket with grey trousers, which matched the Bridesmaids dresses and the details the groomsmen wore.
When Buzz arrived, we captured a few shots of him and his groomsmen in the Church gardens before they headed into the church to await the Brides arrival. We noticed that Buzz had two dogs, Link and Zelda who were dressed as a little bride and groom too! How cute! That was a first for us, along with the colour scheme of the day!
Aubane arrived and her bridesmaids made their entrance into the church. Aubane’s dad gave her away and the two walked down to music from the video game “The Legend of Zelda”… so thats where we heard the names of Buzz’s dogs before! We do love a wedding that oozes personality!
Once the couple said their “I Do’s” they headed out of the church and were greeted with a mix of confetti and a butterfly release. While we captured the main group formal photographs with the couples loved ones, some of our team headed to Brockencote Hall to make a start on capturing the reception details. Again, we were greeted with lots of vibrant greens for the table and venue decor. While guests mingled over canapés and champagne, a magician Nick Rushton went round to entertain the guests and a jazz band also played a few songs in the background. When Aubane and Buzz arrived to the venue, we took them off for a quick couple’s photoshoot around the Brockencote grounds. Guests were seated for the wedding breakfast and awaited the grand entrance of the couple. After their emotional speeches the couple went off to mingle with their guests again while their DJ began to set up. Buzz was surprised by a car shaped ice luge, just in time for their evening party to kick off.
Buzz and Aubane took the dance floor for their first dance, which lead onto the dance floor being open for the guests to celebrate with them. Another surprise in store for the couple were traditional Bhangra dancers Gabhru Panjab De that came to do an energetic performance for the couple and their guests. As the sun set and it became darker, the couple headed outside with some of their guests to cut their wedding cake, while sparklers were handed out. This reception was full of entertainment, which kept us on our toes throughout the day.
We had a fab time capturing this wedding and it will one we remember for sure! Thank you Aubane and Buzz for choosing us to be part of your wedding day!
We had the pleasure of photographing and filming the wedding of Jennifer and Matthew at beautiful Coombe Abbey in Coventry. This wedding was full of surprises. We LOVE surprises! Jen got ready at her parent’s house along with her bridesmaids. She was surprised when given a gift from Matt, which had everyone in tears! Jen wore an elegant white Enzoani wedding gown with a bespoke veil from “Sew Chic by Helen” and her bridesmaids wore lovely long dresses in a duck-egg blue colour from “Wedding Belles of Four Oaks”. The girls hair was styled by the incredible Nat from Bridal Hair Specialists and make-up was by Aleksandra at Guz Makeup Artist. Jen’s bespoke hair piece, which was beautifully crafted to match her dress was made by by http://www.melancholymagpie.com/ Once the Bride and her girls were ready we took them out into the garden of her parents lovely home for some photographs.
Matt opted to get ready at Coombe Abbey with his father and close relatives. This pair were such a great match as Jen had surprised Matt with a gift and card too! Once our lovely groom was ready we took him and his groomsmen around the grounds of the venue for some photographs of them all looking sharp in their suits before they headed into the ceremony room to await Jen’s arrival.
Jen’s Dad proudly walked her down the aisle and the couple began their wedding ceremony. Once the couple’s “I Do’s” were official, they headed outside for their group photo’s whilst their guests mingled and were treated to champagne and canapés. Once the group shots were completed, we snuck Jenny and Matt away for a “Newly Wed’s” photoshoot session around the stunning Coombe Abbey grounds.
Coombe Abbey has a beautiful grand marquee which was where Jen & Matt hosted their wedding breakfast and reception party. The marquee was beautifully decorated with gorgeous floral arrangements from http://www.pumpkinevents.co.uk/ Once they had made their grand entrance, the couple sat down for speeches and a meal catered by Five Rivers, who also provided the canapés. Such yummy food! They also had a traditional ice cream cart on site provided by Lee’s Ice Dreams. Luckily, our notorious English weather was sunny and perfect for ice-cream.
Jen and Matt changed their clothes into traditional Indian outfits after their meal. The bride wore a stunning pink and gold lengha while Matt opted to wear a black suit with a pink waist jacket to match Jen’s outfit. Simply stunning! When they entered the party they headed straight for their beautiful white and gold blush cake http://celebration-cakes.co.uk/ for their cake cutting ceremony. This lead onto their first dance before being entertained as traditional Punjabi folk dancers dancers http://www.nachdasansaar.com/ took centre stage. The dance group got the Bride and Groom involved with part of the dance routine. What Jenny didn’t know was that Matt had practised a short routine in secret with the dance group so when Jen returned to her seat to watch the dancers, Matt stayed and danced away in sync with the group! Jen’s jaw hit the floor, she was so surprised. Once the party had quietened down a little, we took Jen and Matt outside to capture some lovely photographs of the newlyweds in their beautiful Indian party outfits. We loved every moment of Jen and Matt’s beautiful wedding ceremony and reception party! It was fun, vibrant and full of surprises. Thank you for making The Finishing Touch team part of your special day.”
Mike and Nicole were one of our lovely March 2016 couples. They married in lovely civil ceremony, which took place in the Orangery of the stunning Stoneleigh Abbey in Kenilworth. Both Mike and Nicole got ready at their family homes, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Mike surprised Nicole with lots of pre-planned gifts before she got ready. What a great capture! Nicole wore a beautiful princess style white dress and her bridesmaids wore long fuchsia coloured dresses.
While Mike made his way to Stoneleigh Abbey in a swanky white Bentley, we took portraits and video footage of Nicole with her family and bridesmaids at home. Before entering the orangery, we took Mike out for some Groom shots and captured some images of him with his family outside the venue, As the orangery began to fill up, we could see Mike anxiously awaiting his beautiful Bride’s arrival. Nicole walked down the aisle with both her parents at her side. Oh the emotions were high but it made a great capture for their wedding video and photographs.
Once the couple became official newlyweds, we took them outside for their loved ones to shower them with confetti, before taking them outside for their couple’s photoshoot. It was a blustry and cold day, so Mike and Nicole were troopers, braving the weather and allowing us to capture their couple’s photoshoot outside. We managed to capture some stunning shots, before heading back into the conservatory area of Stoneleigh Abbey to capture their group formal photographs.
Guests were guided to the Wedding Breakfast area to be seated for Mike and Nicole to make their grand entrance. After their wedding breakfast, Nicole’s dad, Mike’s best man, and Mike himself gave speeches and toasted the new Mr and Mrs on their future as a married couple. After the wedding breakfast, the wedding event service, Monsoon Venue group turned the room around for the reception party. This allowed us to take the couple for more photographs, this time making use of the stunning interior Stoneleigh Abbey has to offer. The couple proceeded to make their second grand entrance of the day to cut their wedding cake and take the dance floor for their first dance as newlyweds.
Despite the weather, what a stunning day Mike and Nicole’s wedding was. We can’t thank you enough for choosing The Finishing Touch team to capture your beautiful day.
