Greek Wedding Photography & Video at Alrewas Hayes // Angelique & Dan

Dan and Angelique married in a beautiful traditional Greek wedding at Church of the Holy Trinity and St. Lukes in Erdington followed by their wedding reception at the stunning Alrewas Hayes  We love this venue and all the pockets of photographic beauty it offer!

In the morning, we arrived at Angelique’s family home where her stunning Bridesmaids were getting ready. As Angelique was at Black Orchid Salon in Shfinal getting her hair fixed and makeup done by the talented Lily Moroney, we had the chance to capture her beautiful Watters Brides wedding dress from London Bride Couture. The bridesmaids wore dazzling rose gold sequin maxi dresses, big give away to the colour scheme. We took the girls into the garden and captured them all dolled up and ready to be their Brides girl-squad. Once Angelique arrived and put her dress on, the traditional Greek blessings began at home before our lovely bride set off to become a married woman. The blessings were carried out while the wonderful band Nostalgia played traditional greek music and songs.

The traditional Greek wedding ceremony was beautifully carried out. Dan and Angelique exchanged vows, wedding bands and more importantly the Stefana. These are pretty delicate crown like headbands connected with a piece of ribbon, which symbolises that they have become royalty in the house of God. After this lovely wedding ceremony, the guests waited outside the church for Dan and Angelique and they were met by an absolute explosion of confetti. We’ve seen confetti before, but nothing like this! We LOVED IT!

The couple later arrived at Alrewas Hayes where guests were mingling on the venue grounds, while swigging champagne and eating canopies and sweets from the sweet stand. Violinist Janine Heath entertained guests while the couple had formal photographs taken with guests. Our team managed to capture the beautiful reception decor while guests and the couple had their photographs. Their stunning cake matched the theme of the wedding and was created by Elite Cakes in Solihull. We got to try some at the end of the night! It was as delicious as it looked!

Guests were seated for their wedding breakfast before speeches began. Speeches were both funny and emotional, such a great capture. The couple cut their lovely tall wedding cake before taking to the floor for their first dance and what a beautiful first dance it was. They choreographed the entire dance and it looked magical, with twirls and lifts just like from a movie. we loved every moment of it! The dance floor finally opened and the party began. Nostalgia, the Greek wedding band, entertained the guests all night with traditional greek songs as well as a mix of english songs here and there.

This wedding was truly one to remember and we are so thankful to our lovely Bride and Groom Angelique and Dan, for choosing us to capture their stunning wedding celebrations.

Wedding Photography and Video at Stables Lodge // Fleur & Martin

Martin and Fleur tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St Wystan’s Church in Repton, Derbyshire.  Fleur’s Mother owns the beautiful Stables Lodge set in a scenic countryside, where Fleur got ready in the morning with her adorable children. Her 4 year old daughter Freya was her Bridesmaid and her little boy Henry, who was 21 months old was the Pageboy. They looked incredibly cute in their little Bridesmaid and Pageboy outfits!

After their beautiful wedding ceremony the couple headed back to Stables Lodge for their reception, which was set up in a marquee on the grounds.  A Harpist entertained guests as they mingled and congratulated the newlyweds. Once the guests were seated, a Toastmaster announced the speeches, which were given by Fleur’s Brother, Oliver Martin’s Bestman, and Martin himself. Oh boy, were the speeches emotional. Tissues at the ready for team Finishing Touch!

Meals were presented after the speeches and once the guests had completed their meals, we took Fleur and Martin out to neighbouring fields for their couples photoshoot. We really liked the golden light during the evening and were surrounded by beautiful cornfields, which made for some beautiful couple’s portraits. Fleur and Martin were a dream to capture and the setting for the shoot was incredibly dreamy too!

After their photoshoot as a newly married couple, the couple went back into the marquee for their cake cutting and first dance. We were greeted by a huge “LOVE” sign, which created a beautiful light and background from the couple’s first dance. The dance floor officially opened and the party started to celebrate the marriage of Martin and Fleur.

We adored this beautiful wedding day and cannot thank Martin and Fleur enough for having us be part of their special day.

Hindu & Chinese Wedding Photography at Grand Station// Leanne & Kwok

Kwok and Leanne married at Grand Station Banqueting Suite in Wolverhampton. Leanne got ready at home and Kwok headed to the venue to finish off his last preparations, where two of our team were waiting to capture Kwok and his family arriving.

The couple had a civil ceremony followed by a hindu ceremony within Grand Central. For the civil ceremony, Leanne wore a lovely 2 piece outfit. The top was a silver and blush sequin blouse with a blush pink skirt to compliment the blush and white flowers and the bridesmaids’ pink blush dresses. Ravita Pannu created the 2 very different, beautiful makeup and hair looks.

After the civil ceremony the couple had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Kwok’s family give the couple gifts and share herbal tea. Once the couple were officially married, they had a few family photographs outside the venue and a break where a small breakfast was served. This allowed Kwok and Leanne some time to get changed for the traditional Hindu wedding.

For the Hindu wedding, Leanne wore a stunning traditional indian wedding lengha, which was mainly red but full of vibrant blues and oranges. Kwok wore a traditional indian wedding sherwani in blues, yellows and gold detailing. Once the wedding finished, the couple and their guests head back to the foyer area where there was a drinks reception, canapés and a little Photo Booth set up. We had the opportunity to float around and capture guests mingling as well as take some shots of the decor and details within the reception hall.

The couple made their entrance straight to the cake table, where they had photographs with friends and family feeding them cake. Starters came out, which lead to the could sitting down for speeches. Both Kwok and his best man gave heartfelt and funny speeches. After speeches the couple stepped onto the dance floor to take their first dance as husband and wife. They danced to Coldplay’s Magic and the dance floor soon opened for ally he guests to join them.

Thank you for having us be part of your day Kwok and Leanne. We wish you a wonderful married life.
