Wedding Photography at Mythe Barns // Natasha & Gavin

Set at the stunning Mythe Barns, Natasha and Gavin held their wonderful wedding ceremony. Made up with white and ivory roses, the bouquets created by Fairleys complimented the bridesmaids’ aquamarine, floaty dresses. The Bridal party looked elegant as ever and Natasha’s bridal gown from The Dressing Rooms made her look no less than a princess.

Gavin and his best men rocked up to the venue in their shiny sports cars to then await his beautiful bride’s entrance. Linked arms with her proud father, Natasha floated down the aisle which was adorned with gypsophila.

Accompanied by big smiles and laughter, the couple exchanged vows and sealed the deal with a warm embrace in front of their friends and family.

The newly wed couple were then greeted with cheeky cocktails and cheering guests. Entertained by the talented magician Christian Fletcher, Natasha and Gavin’s guests mingled and enjoyed the tasty treats Myth Barns had to offer.

We had a lot of fun capturing the couple’s first photographs as husband and wife, paying particular attention to Gavin’s impressive collection of sports cars. The bridal party were by no means afraid of getting their heals dirty and showed off their jumping poses as well.

After returning to the reception party, Natasha & Gavin cut into their tier of cupcakes, kindly created by a family friend. As soon as the Midlands Pro DJ started the tunes, the couple performed their well-rehearsed first dance. It no time at all, the rest of the wedding party joined them on the dance floor as well as their beautiful daughter.

Sikh Wedding Photography and Video at Park Hall, Woverhampton // Pav & Dilraj

Dilraj and Pav had a beautiful Sikh wedding ceremony at Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Willenhall. Pav got ready at her family home in Wolverhampton and was surrounded by her loved ones from near and far. She wore beautiful detailed Indian bridal outfit with a bright orange dupatta to add a bit of summery contrast. Once Pav was ready, we took formal photographs with her main family in front of her lovely home, before she set off on her way to the Gurdwara.  Dilraj also got ready at his family home in Telford with his nearest and dearest. He wore a traditional Indian Groom’s outfit, a champagne gold sherwani.

The couple met in the darbar sahib to officially become husband and wife. Once their Sikh wedding ceremony had finished, we took the couple outside of the Gurdwara to capture some couples photos before they headed off to get changed. The couple chose the beautiful Ramada Park Hall Hotel to hold their reception party in. We had some of our team head to the venue to capture details of the decor and grounds before the guests started to arrive. Pav changed into a beautiful golden Indian gown for the reception while Dilraj put on a 3 piece suit. While guests mingled and waited for the couple, the renowned Gabhru Punjab De bhangra dancers. The couple had a quick photoshoot in they new outfits before they entered to cut their cake.

Pav’s sisters made an emotional yet funny speech along with Dilraj’s best friends and Dilraj himself. This lead onto their first dance, which we LOVED as it was choreographed and made for a beautiful capture. The dance floor opened and the celebrations began. These guys know how to party! After a long evening of celebrations, Dilraj surprised Pav with a vintage car for them both to leave in. Pav and Dilraj continued with the traditional Doli and Paniwaarna ceremonies before the night ended.

Pav and Dilraj, you make a lovely couple and we are so thankful you chose The Finishing Touch team to capture your special moments.

Wedding Photography at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Colfield // Nik & Kerry

Nik and Kerry got married at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield and my what a colourful wedding it was.

Kerry got ready with her nearest and dearest at the hotel. She wore a beautiful pink and gold Indian outfit matched with gold Jimmy Choo shoes, while her bridesmaids wore navy and blush dresses. Once Kerry was ready, we were able to capture some portraits of our stunning Bride along with some family portraits.

Kerry walked down the aisle with her father to meet her husband-to-be and the service began.

Once the wedding ceremony was complete, the couple headed outside for group photographs with their nearest and dearest. This gave us a chance to get the group shots out the way so we could have some time with our couple to capture the two of them during the couple’s photoshoot. As the newlyweds decided they weren’t going to change outfits, we had enough time to make use of the venue grounds and headed over to the golf course for some images around the bridge and fields. Our team certainly do love getting on golf buggies! We headed back to the venue for more photographs indoors so that the couple had lots of variety.

Nik and Kerry made their grand entrance into the reception to cut their cake. After this they sat down at their top table ready for their speeches, which then lead on to them being invited onto the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife. The dance floor opened and the guests joined them to celebrate their new married journey.

Congratulations Nik and Kerry. We wish you all the very best. Thank you for choosing the Finishing Touch to be part of your day.

Wedding Photography and Video at Birmingham City Council House // Lee & Kam

Lee and Kam had a lovely civil ceremony at The Council House in Birmingham followed by an evening reception at the Saffron Centre  Kam got ready at her parents home while Lee got ready at the couples lovely home, both in Birmingham. Lee wore a tailored suit with a bespoke tag sewn into his inside pocket, which had his name and the date of his wedding written. We love personal touches!
Once Kam arrived, we managed to get a few images and footage of her entering the grand staircase before the ceremony began. A Pianist provided music while Kam and her lovely father made their way down the aisle. Once the wedding ceremony was complete guests headed to the back of the room where there was a display of cakes, snacks, teas and coffees. Guests mingled while the pianist continued to provide background music. We may have also helped ourselves to a cheeky coffee and cake.
Lee and Kam had booked a lovely bedroom and lounge suite at the Hyatt Hotel nearby the Council House. This gave us a chance to take some couple portrays of the newlyweds before their closest guests arrived for a meal. We hung around to capture some of the guests mingling before we left Kam, Lee and their guests to it.
As the reception party was in the evening, we had a chance to have a lengthy break and recharge ourselves as well as our batteries before we made or way to the Saffron Centre. The team split so that 2 members went to cover the venue decor and 2 members went over to Lee and Kam’s room at the Hyatt to capture images of them in their 2nd outfits.
The couple made their entrance into the reception hall, lead by a talented Saxophone player. The headed straight to the cake table on the dance floor to cut their wedding cake. Once they fed each other cake and got some photographs with their loved ones, they surprised all the guests with a choreographed ballroom-bhangra dance fusion. A perfect way to get the dance floor open for all their guests to join them in their celebrations.
Congratulations Lee and Kam. We are delighted to have been part of your wedding journey. Thank you for having us.
